I really was glad to see FNL come back for season 2, but now we need to get a season 3. We should all come together to get a season 3.

I have never been so easily hooked on show as I was with FNL. It being so realistic makes it completly different from every other show on the air. The characters are amazing and could not have been casted any better. The show is 'different' and thats what makes it so great!!! Please don't let this one slip away!!!!!!

Friday Night Lights is a great show, it relates to real life. NBC would be crazy to cancel this show, i mean they have already cancelled some of the best shows they have had (for example Crossing Jordan). So please help save Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights is the best show on TV. NBC would be crazy to cancel it. But then it seems that all the good shows get cancelled. I don't know who they go to as "viewers." Everyone I know watched the show and loves it.

I look forward to Wednesday nights as a ritual. I expect total silence from my family for that one hour a week while I view this show.
Slowly but surely they are all hooked on FNL now and the show has become such a part of our lives.
What will I ever do without it? It will be like losing Homecoming (another Kyle Chandler TV show I loved) all over again. That show only made it two seasons and was just as fabulous. What a shame.

I love Friday Night Lights. It's a beautifully written and casted show (I don't know who did the casting but they got it sooooo right!) It is one of the few shows we can watch together as a family-- and use it to talk to our kids about important issues. More publicity would help, once people see it, they will be hooked too.

Friday Night Lights is the best show on T.V. I would watch it over american idol any day, anytime, anywhere. There is so little TV of substance...please let us have this one show. Wednesday is the best day of the week because I know I get to watch Friday Night Lights in the evening.

Our family has enjoyed the show this year. I do hope that it will continue. I was a little taken back by teens drinking so much but then when I really look around at the the teens, it is something they are doing in real life. It is real life and it even depicts christianity. I love it!

Here is a portion of a letter that I wrote on Salon.com:
My husband and I have been glued to FNL all season, loving it and fearing the inevitable cancellation, because we know it's too nuanced and beautifully realized to get the ratings. And against American Idol, too -- how discouraging! Though we have lived in Manhattan for 25 years, we grew up in West Texas, and we recognize the authenticity of the characters -- in all their complexity. As parents of young adults we recognize the authenticity of the scenes that deal with navigating the dangerous waters of parenting adolescents. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton should get an Emmy for their performances -- but then so should so many others. The scenes that deal with the quarterback's spinal cord injury are the most moving and accurate ever presented on network television.

It's NOT ABOUT FOOTBALL and it's NOT ABOUT TEXAS. It's about marriage and family and community and human frailty and forgiveness and just muddling through. And it's some of the best writing on television. It's more than the sum of its parts -- and its parts are more than enough. It's a laudable effort that deserves viewers.
