If NBC takes Friday Night Lights off the air I may not watch that station at all anymore. I was in love with the Show “American Dreams” a few years ago and they took that off the air. I will be VERY UPSET! The teens and the marriage between the Taylors are the most real on TV! Coach and Mrs. T fight like a real couple and he trips over his words just like a nervous man does sometimes! If their were real or more football coachs like him maybe high school would be a better experience for all!

I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOW MIGHT NOT BE AROUND ANYMORE! TELEVISION IS MOVING TOWARDS ALL REALITY SHOWS. THE REALITY SHOWS ARE MOSTLY PREWRITTEN. HORRIBLE TV. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IS ONE THE BEST SHOWS TV HAS SEEN IN THE PAST DECADE. NETWORK TV SHOULD REALIZE THIS AND STOP PROGRAMMING ONLY TO THE YOUNGER VIEWERS. GOOD SHOWS LIKE THIS ARE BECOMING A THING OF THE PAST.

There is so little good programming on anymore, how can you cancell this show? In an era of reality and game shows, FNL is a God sent. The cast and scripts are excellant. You cancell this show and you have nothing else to tune into NBC for me.

Sometimes I forget that this is a scripted show, the writing and acting are so good. Everyone just blends into the characters.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL GOOD TV FOR THE SAKE OF RATINGS.

We just started watching FNL this season and love it! So much so that we watched Season 1 (5 discs) in one weekend. With the trash reality shows on NBC, this is the only ‘feel good’ program NBC has to offer. The show is very well written and the actors do a fabulous job of making you believe you’re watching ‘real life’.

    Please don’t cancel FNL!!!

This is a fantastic show and NBC would be making anhuge mistake by taking it off the air. Last season they cancelled the Black Donelly’s and the only thing that keeps me watching NBC are FNL and the Office. NBC must enjoy cancelling good television, because they did this a couple of years ago with Sports NIght too. Keep FNL on the air! It’s one show in a very small handful, that I actually watch. Try cancelling The Biggest Loser or any other “reality” tv show first.

Don’t cancel Friday Night Lights! It truly is the best show on TV right now. We have too much “reality” tv & no real shows to watch and invest time in anymore. FNL has the best stories & cast on TV, we have learned about them and live their stories with them each week & we want more. It is a family show touching on the real problems & joys of life. I can’t wait for it each week; even if I have to DVR it because I work sometimes, I come right home and watch it! I have season one on DVD…this show is AMAZING! PLEASE DON’T PUT THE LIGHTS OUT ON FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

Who is in charge of canceling shows at NBC???? I don’t watch much TV because it has gotten to be silly with all the Reality and pathetic story lines of other shows not worthy of standing a chance with FNL. NBC has doomed the show by putting it on Friday Night, I guess if you want something to fail that would do it. Bring it back and put it on Mondays at 8:00 I guarantee it will blow out the other shows in ratings, people can relate to it no matter who you are.

What I love about Friday Night lights is that it takes me back to the better times of being a teenager. Football was the center of our school, even the ugly fat guys got girls just because they played on the football team. The year I was a senior we won the City stuff. Sorry I’m not a guy so I don’t know what it is called to win all the games and then go to this unbelievable stadium to play the final play off and win.

The Friday night lights team reminds me of the team we had my 10th grade year. All the guys were awesome looking, built and had football attitude. They were just like Riggins and Smash. Our coach was just as goodlooking as Coach Taylor if not better. I was in love with him!

I love the stories, the only person I want to smack around is the coach’s daughter. What a uppity little twit.

Fridays for me is like the football game is going on in my backyard. (My highschool football field was right in my backyard) What a great way to grow up! Please keep Friday Night Lights alive!!!!!

I live near West Texas and this show is an incredibly accurate depiction of life there. I was skeptical when the show was first mentioned because it was a fictional story line about a non-fiction book. However, I have been hooked since the first episode. NBC.FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS HAS A HUGE FAN BASE.WITH TIVO, DVR, ETC THE SHOW IS STILL BEING WATCHED.friday nights is date night out.So give it a chance on another night after DEAL OR NO DEAL EVEN.WE LOVE THE SHOW and it’s all quality. Now that the writer’s are back, let them do justice and complete the season.

What NBC needs to do is fire the programmers.Obviously they have it on the wrong night.I guarantee the more people that watch the show after episodes of DEAL OR NO DEAL, will gather up more support for the little but classy show.I would put money on it too.

I feel like I’m losing a whole group of friends with the potential passing of Friday Night Lights. The characters go through dynamic transformations so that those you can’t stand end up winning your heart in the end. It’s not pretentious, doesn’t lie, and is one of the best written shows on television. It would be a shame for this gem to become one of the writer’s strike casualties. I am pleading with those making that decision to reconsider….it’s by far one of the best programs on TV now and in recent years. I am NOT even a football fan, but I look forward to watching the show every Friday night with my husband. I’ve told others about it and they have barely had a chance to watch it with the writer’s strike.
The storylines seem genuine and they show consequences most times for bad choices, unlike some shows that just glorify negative behaviour. TV NEEDS more programs with more morals not less. Please show some responsibility and consider what you air very carefully.

It would be a tragedy if this show didn’t return. Its the best thing on TV and really the only thing I watch these days other than sports. Plus the music is awesome(Explosions In The Sky)

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL SUCH A GREAT SHOW. IT IS BY FAR THE BEST SHOW ON T.V. THESE DAYS. THE T.V. IS SATURATED WITH STUPID REALITY SHOWS AND HORRIBLE GAME SHOWS. IF NBC DOESN’T WANT THIS GEM OF A SHOW, GIVE IT TO ANOTHER NETWORK. WATCH AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS THEN!!! OTHER THAT NEWS OR SPORTS, THIS IS THE ONLY DECENT SHOW ON THE AIR.

I agree wtih many of the other fans that reality shows have taken over televison. I also was a big
fan of American Dreams and was disappointed when it was cancelled. Please keep Friday Night Lights I
was looking forward to new episodes when I read that it was being cancelled. Women need more hot men like Kyle Chandler to make television more exciting!

FNL delivers what family leisure time should be on a Friday night. My wife and I are avid watchers of the show and are always riveted to each episode. Together we watch several programs during the week on NBC like Heroes and The Office with the end of week culminating with FNL. I understand the networks need to move the show to Friday to not compete with American Idol, but there is always the option for Monday at 8 making Monday the power night! In any case the program delivers strong performances and realistic plots during an error where so many television programs do not make the grade. Unfortunately the WGA strike has pulled essential resources from this program and my Friday nights have been rather boring. My wife and I are no longer eager to enjoy 9-10pm in front of the TV and find ourselves more inclined to sleep. Americans can clearly see that during this difficult economic time television serves as a critical escape and w/o programs such as FNL our morale continues to degrade. Replacing the show with a new drama may not entice us or we may find ourselves removed from supporting a network that doesn’t support the programs we like. The most important objective for all is to preserve their individual families. FNL has been a vehicle for mine. It is our wish that this fantastic show continues. We are hard working and dedicated people who seek entertainment to relieve some daily stress. Good Luck cast and crew of FNL.

    Best Regards,

    Jeff and Jessica R.

This is one of the best shows on tv.Why doesn’t NBC get their act together and put it on Thursdays BEFORE celebrity apprentice.I look forward every week to the talented cast, the great writing crew, and to enjoying the show since its inception.I am not willing to put out more money for directtv etc. I have found a great site http://downloadfridaynightlights.sequd.com for downloading all episodes.
